Darkness surrounds the area, bouncing off the stony walls until it envelops any ounce of light that dares to enter its domain. A rat skitters across the floor, squeaking in terror when it is crushed, and kicked farther into the cavern; it's bloody corpse thudding on the ground. Footsteps echo in the cavity, alerting any other refugee of their arrival. It's rather odd, that one can move around the darkness so easily, but being what they are, they sense their surroundings, grazing their fingers across the stony prison. It guides them further into its confines, a sinister feeling teasing its way up their victim's spine. As they near the heart of the cave, a beacon of hope appears. This tiny speck of light courageously fights off the black in its loneliness, indicating to those that they are at the end of their journey.
As suddenly as the dark began, it disappears; replaced by a sudden light, that the change is momentarily blinding. Torches light up the area, revealing a cavern of resources to the shinobi. A decrepit man wanders over, his gravelly voice inquiring upon your visit in his area. He is the gatekeeper to sanctuary and no matter his size, he should not be trifled with. Once welcomed into the area, a shinobi has the choice of a warm meal, sleeping quarters or their choice of specialized supplies.
The gatekeeper is a former blacksmith, his wares dangerous and lethal. All are specialized weapons of chains, wires, swords and knives. For a hefty payment, he'll create anything for a missing nin.
Stay the night, he always offers, but be gone by morning.
